Centromet was established in 1977 as scientific-production enterprise. Its main activities were focused in research, development, experimentation and implementation of technological construction methods for the production of parts by centrifugal casting.
By 1989 Centromet created facilities for the production of parts for the chemical industry, as well as rolls for the metallurgic industry, special cylinders for pumps for the mining industry and geological research, centrifugal parts of non-ferrous metals and parts with special application.
Due to the structural changes in Bulgaria after 1989, the company adjusted its activities and started production of special parts for the European market as follows:
- centrifugal cast tubes and tube assemblies for catalytic reforming, ethylene, installations and other parts for the chemical, and the petrochemical industries;
- cylinder liners for diesel engines (marine, diesel generators, etc.);
- bi-metal parts, rolls for the ceramic industry;
- double layer rolls for the food industry;
- furnace rolls.
PRODUCTION
The main production method is centrifugal casting in metal moulds with vertical and horizontal axis of turning.
Centromet has no competitors on the Balkan Peninsula. The production is specific and in accordance with the documentation and requirements of each customer, mainly certified by Lloyd's and TÜV.
The high quality of the products is guaranteed by the means of laboratory analysis of the chemical composition and material structure, as well as control of the mechanical properties of the materials.
The company possesses the following certificates:
QUALITY
- ISO 9001:2000 issued by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance;
- Production certificates from Lloyd's as producer of: spheroidal-graphite cast iron, grey cast iron, carbon steels, stainless and austenite steels;
- Production certificates from BV as a producer of: cast steel and cylinder liners;
- TÜV certificate as producer of vessels under pressure in compliance with European Directive 97/23/EC;
- TÜV certificate according to AD-Merkblatt W0;
- Certificate for special production.
