Company profile
Centromet AD was established in 1977 as scientific-production enterprise. Its main activities were focused on researching, developing, experimenting and implementing technological construction methods for the production of parts using centrifugal casting.
Up to 1989 Centromet AD created facilities for the production of parts for the chemical industry, as well as rolls for the metallurgic industry, special cylinders for pumps for the mining industry and geological research, centrifugal parts of non-ferrous metals and parts with special application. Sponding to the structural changes in Bulgaria post -1989, the company adapted its activities and started production of special parts for the European market as follows:
- centrifugal cast tubes and tube assemblies for reformer and ethylenic installations and other parts for the chemical industry - cylinder liners for ship-engines - bi-metal parts, rolls for the ceramic industry - furnace rolls - double layer rolls for the food industry
The main production method is centrifugal casting in metal moulds with vertical and horizontal axes of turning.
Centromet AD has no competitors on the Balkan Peninsula. The production is specific and in accordance with the documentation and requirements of each customer, mainly certified by Lloyd's and TUV.
The high quality of the products is guaranteed by means of laboratory analysis of the chemical composition and material structure, as well as control of the mechanical properties of the materials. The company possesses the following certificates: - ISO 9001:2000 issued by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance - Production certificates from Lloyd's as producer of: spheroidal-graphite cast iron, grey cast iron, carbon steels, stainless and austenite steels. - TUV certificate as producer of vessels under pressure in compliance with European Directive 97/23/EC - TUV certificate according to AD-Merkblatt W0 - Certificate for special production
